Foal Hoof Care and Development

Updated: Dec 6, 2020

This article illustrates how important it is to have a team of people who are very familiar with foals and their development as they grow. For example, if a foal toes out because his entire leg is rotated slightly, this often gradually corrects itself as they grow and their chest/barrel fills out, but if you try to correct the rotation instead, you can often end up with a mature horse that permanently toes in. https://thehorse.com/170429/small-feet-big-responsibility-hoof-care-for-foals/
